Shallow Ground was originally formed by guitarists/vocalist Keith Letourneau & guitarist Tim Smith, in 1994. Both Keith and Tim came from established late 80’s metal bands & both share a love for all things metal. After a brief hiatus they reformed in 2009 with new members Nick Ziembicki on bass & Kurt Ragis on Drums & are ready to spread their brand of old school thrash to metal fans everywhere.

They have played with national acts such as The Devin Townsend Band, Tesseract ,Holy Grail, Cauldron, Warbringer, Lazarus AD, Diamond Plate, Unearth,Chimaira, Skeletonwitch, Kittie, The Agonist,Blackguard,Diecast & Bonded By Blood

2012 a cooperation with KILLER METAL RECORDS took place. Nick Ziembicki departed & new bassist Nick Persico entered the fold. The band were invited to play The Warriors Of Metal Festival in Columbus Ohio in both 2013 & 2014 with headliners Flotsam & Jetsam & Helstar.

In 2015 not only does the band have a new member in Mark Chrzaszczewski but also an artist endorsement with Randall Amplifiers & the release of their new CD – Embrace The Fury

Noticeable many young Thrash bands emulating old heroes like VENOM or HELLHAMMER. This sounds very often like musicians in a junk room with bad guitar soli and poor vocals. The newcomers often forget that in the early 80ies of the last millennium the style was initially discovered or the bands were not able to play better.

SHALLOW GROUND do not have jump on the bandwagon. The American band shows on both albums well-done Thrash, technically and musically fine with great songs. They can be queued among many established acts without drawing concrete comparisons between them to easily. The interspersed harmonies and having the knack for skilful arrangements let the nearly sixty minutes pass without having any boredom at all. SHALLOW GROUND rivet and waking the desire for more! “Embrace the fury” has fantasic songs like “Khan”, “Once again” or “Class warfare”.
